![]() Raised in Fullerton, California, Victor Phan's lifelong dream was to become a comic book artist. However, during his teen years, his focus shifted from the world of graphic novels to film and its ability to reach a wider audience. At the age of 18, Phan began working as a production assistant on Vietnamese music videos. He spent his college years working on sets during his weekends, while attending Fullerton College weekdays. While there, Phan was greatly inspired and influenced by his film professors such as: Marie Perez, Darrell Kitchell, Jay Goldstein, and Mike Moore. Victor graduated with honors from the college, and went on to transfer to Cal State Fullerton, where he would finish his four-year degree. While still an undergrad, Victor interned as a reader at Mark Wheeler Management and Ben Katz Productions. During his internship, Phan impressed Katz with his ability to draw, and was hired by Katz as storyboard artist on a feature film, ‘Hereafter.’ Phan soon met his long-time editor and creative consultant, Clark Jones. Through Jones’ guidance, Phan achieved his first publishing, in small circulation magazines and anthologies, establishing a foothold in the world of Horror with a series of short stories. During his senior year, Phan partnered up with Jones and Ryan Amendt to form Torture Chamber Productions, an independent production company based out of Orange County, producing thrillers and horror films. Their company soon produced Phan’s thesis project, ‘The Perfect Girl,’ with funding from Cal State Fullerton’s film department. Phan graduated cum laude with a university GPA of 3.8. After graduation, Phan was invited to teach screenwriting at Fullerton College. Phan spent the following year placing screenplays in contests and continuing to publish stories. Phan has since worked on assignment as writer, storyboard artist, and production assistant, as well as producer and director of his own independent projects. Phan continues to work as a professor at Fullerton College, as well as working freelance in the film industry. Phan is on the board of Fullerton College TV-Film Production Advisory Committee and Orange County Screenwriters Association.
![]() Clark Jones Clark Jones was born in Los Angeles, California, and since the age of 16 has been in love with the power of storytelling. At that young age, he wrote his first short story, which later inspired him to co-found a company selling Horror and Dark Fantasy stories. Prior to his career in the writing world, Clark graduated with a BS in Business Management, and held various mid-level and executive management positions. In his time, he has been the West Coast Supply Manager for a major retail chain, served or consulted as a Project Manager on several multimillion dollar projects, and even served as a Plant Manager in South Korea for a gelatin encapsulation facility. It is a point of personal pride that all of his projects have always come in at or under budget. From these accomplishments, the successful entrepreneur found his way to establishing a book selling company exclusively focused on selling first and limited edition releases. As luck would have it, Clark and his co-founder would have the opportunity to meet numerous writers, including the as of yet undiscovered writer, Clive Barker. Clark bought out the first editions of all seven of Clive’s first books, at the time published only in the United Kingdom. After many evenings observing Mr. Barker’s writing methods and styles, Clark would take cues and mentorship for the development of his own writing. Clark Jones has since become a full-time writer, and is currently working on several short stories and a novel, all produced by Torture Chamber Productions. He has developed a close working relationship with Victor Phan, the lead Producer of Torture Chamber Productions. Clark has recently expressed interest in pursuing work as a Producer, due to his extensive experience as a Project Manager. ![]() Jeff Blaxland Jeff Blaxland was born May 25th, 1984, and raised in the South Bay region of Los Angeles, California.
